BANGALORE, DEC. 27. Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) will be the focus of fourth national Update on HIV/AIDS Management to be held on January 7 and 8 at the Quality Inn Southern Star in Mysore. The event is being organised by Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement and the University of Florida-India Centre for Health, HIV/AIDS Research and Training. R. Balasubramaniam, president of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, said the theme of the conference would be "ART - the comprehensive care engine.' Nearly 300 clinicians, including government doctors, private medical professionals from medical colleges and non-governmental organisations are expected to take part in the conference. Faculty from the University of Florida and other experts from India will take part in the event. The conference will provide an update to participants on all current issues and concerns related to HIV management. There will be case discussions, quiz and poster presentation on HIV/AIDS and discussions with a public health perspective, Mr. Balasubramaniam said.
