Yadavas seek representation in Cabinet

DAVANGERE, DEC. 27. The Yadava community has criticised the State Government for what it called not giving any representation to the community in the recent Cabinet expansion. It has urged the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) to include at least two MLAs from the community in the Ministry.

Addressing presspersons here today, P.S. Hanumathappa, president of the Davangere unit of the community's association, said four MLAs from the community, A. Krishnappa and A.V. Umapathy from the Congress and Muniyappa and Muddappa from the Janata Dal (S), can be made Ministers, taking into account their seniority and experience.

N. Rajappa, vice-president of the unit, was present.
