Two die in stampede

TUTICORIN, DEC. 27. Two beggars died and two others were injured in a stampede at Mattakadai near here around 10 a.m. today.

The police said the incident occurred when some beggars and destitutes rushed into a house, where free sarees and dhotis were distributed. The dead are yet to be identified.
