Training for youngsters interested in joining Army

Youngsters interested in joining the Army at a training camp in Nalgonda on Monday.

NALGONDA, DEC. 27. The district police have launched a training programme for youngsters interested in joining the Indian Army under the programme -- Velugu Bata.

As part of the Velugu Bata, the Police Department selected 200 candidates out of 450 applicants for the Army recruitment rally to be held in Nizamabad from January 3 to 9. "We will impart free training to the selected candidates for one week. By the time of selections, they will be fit to clear the tests," Ravinder, the Officer on Special Duty, said in a press release.

He thanked the Collector, K. Vijayanand, and the DRDA Project Director, M. Champa Lal, for their support to make the coaching programme a success. The district employment officer, Satyanarayana Murthy, and the Two Town SI, Subbiram Reddy, supervised the selection test held at DIET grounds.
