NDMC pledges Rs. 1 crore
NEW DELHI,
DEC. 27.
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to contribute Rs.1 crore from the municipal funds to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for the natural calamity-hit southern Indian States. Besides, the Council employees will also make a token contribution.
At its monthly Council meeting, a resolution condoling the death of former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao, was passed and two minutes' silence observed in honour of the departed soul.
