Chain snatcher held

MADURAI, DEC.27. The Teppakulam police on Sunday nabbed a suspected robber who relieved a woman of her gold chain at Villapuram recently.

According to the police, M. Sakthivel (36) of Vandiyur was caught red-handed by a team when he was trying to steal the purse of a passenger in a city bus. Sakthivel confessed to have snatched a 7.5 sovereign gold chain from B. Santhi (29). The gold chain was recovered.
