Baby found abandoned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 27. A two-and-a half-kilogram baby was found abandoned at the Ammathottil of Kerala State Shishu Kshema Samithi. This is the 39th child received by the Smithi through its `Ammathottil.'

Film workshop for children

A two-day `film familiarisation workshop' for school students will be held at the Chitranjali Studio on Tuesday and Wednesday. The workshop will enlighten the students on the various technical aspects of film-making such as the functioning of a camera, editing, script writing, light adjustments and shooting. They will also be informed about the career opportunities available in the field. The workshop is jointly organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy and Sound Audio Engineering. Around 600 students from various city schools will take part in the workshop.

Diploma courses

Applications are invited to the graduate diploma and post graduate diploma courses conducted by the Indian Institute of Materials Management, Thiruvananthapuram branch. The courses are accredited by the AICT. The last date for receiving the application form is December 31. Phone: 2563517
