This Day That Age
The proposed Afro-Asian conference will be held in Indonesia during the last week of April 1955, the five Colombo Power Prime Ministers decided in Bogor (Indonesia) on December 28, it was officially announced. A joint communiqué, issued on the first day of the meeting of the five Prime Ministers in preparation for the wider conference of Afro-Asian powers, said the Prime Ministers - from India, Pakistan, Burma, Ceylon and Indonesia - would on December 29 consider further aspects of holding such a conference and other matters. The Prime Ministers met for two hours behind closed doors in the Indonesian President Soekarno's palace in Bogor, a hill resort outside Jakarta. The communiqué said the Prime Ministers would also consider in detail the question of who all should be invited to the Afro-Asian conference.
