Multi-faceted

Sir, — It is well known that the former Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao, spoke very little. What is not known is that he once opened his mouth to sing, that too a Tyagaraja kriti. The author of a book on Tyagayya kritis himself forgot the lines of a kriti during a function in New Delhi and Rao helped him complete them. A leader who almost never spoke but who will be eternally spoken about.
