Mathoor Krishnamurthy
SHIMOGA, DEC. 28. S. Kotrabasappa, veteran lawyer and promoter of higher education, and Mathoor Krishnamurthy, well-known scholar and director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, were conferred with LL.D. and D. Litt respectively at the convocation of the Kuvempu University on Tuesday in recognition of their services. The Governor and Chancellor of the university, T.N. Chaturvedi, conferred the honorary doctorates on them. Dr. Kotrabasappa said that he considered the honour as recognition to his long association with legal and education fields. Dr. Krishnamurthy said that he would dedicate the doctorate conferred on him to the several religious and political leaders, who had an influence on him and shaped his personality.
