Onkar Kanwar new FICCI President

NEW DELHI,
DEC. 28.
The Chairman and Managing Director of Apollo Tyres, Onkar Kanwar, today took over as the new President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for 2004-05. Mr. Kanwar took over at the conclusion of FICCI's 77th annual session here today, a FICCI release said.
Along with him, Saroj Kumar Poddar took over as the senior vice president and Habil Khorakiwala as vice president of FICCI. Mr. Poddar is the Chairman of Poddar Heritage Enterprise, Alstom Limited and Alstom (India) Limited while Mr. Khorakiwala is the Chairman of pharmaceuticals firm, Wockhardt Limited.
