VISAKHAPATNAM, DEC. 28. The Zimbabwe cricket team left here on Tuesday for Hyderabad by road on its way to Mumbai to catch a flight to Dhaka. The cancellation of flights to Kolkata forced the team to travel by road. The team spent 16 days in the city and played two practice matches and had a camp. The coach, Phil Simmons, and manager, Babu Maman, during their stay, appreciated the arrangements made by the VDCA for their stay and practice. The team captain, Tatenda Taibu, did not play both matches to give an opportunity to the youngsters in his team. The team arrived here on December 12 at the BCCI's suggestion as the climate here is somewhat similar to Dhaka's. It wanted to go to Kolkota but the non-availability of a ground there forced it to choose Visakhapatnam.
