TIRUPATI, DEC. 28. Students of Sri Venkateswara University hit the road on Tuesday to collect contribution from public for providing relief to Tsunami victims. They took out a rally from the SVU main building, which was flagged off by the Vice-Chancellor, S. Jayarama Reddy. They went through the town with "hundis'' and collected contributions from passers by. The public response was spontaneous and voluntary, as many came forward to contribute their mite for the benefit of thousands of people rendered homeless and who had lost their kin. The SVU College Principal, J. Lakshman Rao, the Dean, B. Mohan, and the Head of the Department, Economics, Ratna Kumari, led the contingent.
