Suhail, Raghav have a ball

BANGALORE, DEC. 28. Suhail and Raghav Dhiman bagged five wickets each and helped Bangalore HSS defeat ITI Vidyamandir by eight wickets in a Parle Cup under-17 cricket tournament quarterfinal here on Tuesday.

Suhail and Dhiman bundled out the ITI Vidyamandir second innings for a meagre 88 runs and Bangalore HSS chasing 10, lost two wickets while edging ahead in 2.1 overs

The scores (quarterfinals): ITI Vidyamandir 178 in 40.3 overs and 88 in 24.5 overs (N. Srinivasulu 41, Suhail five for 37, Raghav Dhiman five for 48) lost to Bangalore HSS 257 in 55 overs (Arjun Hoysala 87, Raghav Dhiman 59, S.P. Maruthi seven for 63) and 10 for two in 2.1 overs.

Presidency School 274 in 55 overs and 198 for nine in 30 overs (R. Prithvi 49, Bharath six for 44) bt Holy Saint School 276 in 55 overs (Sharan 115 n.o.) and 188 for seven in 30 overs (Kishore 75).

SJIHS 293 in 55 overs and 146 for four in 30 overs (Rahul Bhatkal 58 n.o.) bt PTA School 110 and 144 for nine in 30 overs (Gaurav Heblikar four for 40).

FAPS 223 for nine in 55 overs and 164 for six in 30 overs (K. Nikhil 67) bt Bishop Cotton Boy's School 209 in 49.3 overs (Mayank Agarwal 74, D.V. Anish five for 62) and 152 for seven in 30 overs (Prithvi Varadarajan 51). — Our Sports Reporter
