Mysore Zone in last four

MYSORE, DEC. 28. Mysore, with 20 points, topped Group `B' and qualified for the semifinals after a draw in its final league match against Raichur in the KSCA S.A. Srinivasan Memorial under-22 inter-zonal cricket tournament in Mandya on Tuesday.

Sudhir Rao hits 186

In Bangalore, H.T. Sudhir Rao's 186 (242b, 25 x 4, 3 x 6) helped President's XI score 355 against Bangalore. Spinner Pramod Kutty bagged eight wickets for Bangalore. At close, Bangalore was 23 for no loss.

At Mandya: Mysore Zone 552 for four in 90 overs and 176 for four in 29.2 overs (S.P. Manjunath 96, Arun Bafna 34) drew with Raichur Zone 227 in 46.3 overs (Md. Nazir 51, Manjunath Jhadav 69 not out, Arjun four for 35). Mysore: 5 points, Raichur: 2 points.

At Bangalore: President's XI 355 in 89.5 overs (H.T. Sudhir Rao 186, Y.H.S. Girish 42, Pramod Kutty eight for 135) vs Bangalore Zone.

Tumkur Zone 277 in 73.4 overs (K.N. Rakesh 57, Dheeraj 49) vs Shimoga Zone 66 for one in 14 overs.
