Woman's body recovered from Nagapattinam

PATHANAMTHITTA, DEC. 28 . The body of Shahida (42), wife of the former Adoor municipal chairman, Muhammadali Parackal, who was reportedly missing in Tsunami-hit Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu, was recovered from the Nagapattinam coast this morning, according to her relatives.

Shahida, along with husband, Muhammedali, and son, Sattar, had gone on a pilgrimage to the Nagur Shahul Hamid Ouliya Mosque at Nagapattinam. Her husband and son, who were injured in the tidal surge, have been admitted to the Nagapattanam Hospital.

Shahida's body was found trapped in bushes, half-a-kilometre away from the mosque, the sources said.
