KOCHI, DEC. 28. An international conference on biotechnology and neurosciences will begin on Wednesday at the Polymer Science Auditorium, Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat). G. Padmanaban, former director of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, will inaugurate the meeting which will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of Cusat, P.K. Abdul Azis. The M.V. Pylee Award in biotechnology, instituted by the Society for Biotechnologists (India), will be presented to Prof. Padmanaban on the occasion. The three-day meeting is being organised jointly by the Centre for Neurosciences, Department of Biotechnology, Society for Biotechnologists (India) and Society for Neurochemistry (India).
