This Day That Age
The five Asian Prime Ministers, in a joint communiqué issued in Bogor (Indonesia) on December 29, announced that they had invited People's China and Japan, among other nations, to sit at the Afro-Asian conference to be held in Indonesia next April. The communiqué said the subjects to be discussed at the conference would include the atomic bomb, economic co-operation and general moves to lessen world tension. The 25 countries which would be invited are: Afghanistan, Cambodia, the Central African Federation, China (People's Republic), Egypt, Ethiopia, Gold Coast, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Nepal, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, North Viet Nam, South Viet Nam and Yemen.
