PATHANAMTHITTA, DEC. 29. The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) operated a record number of long-distance services to Pampa during the 41-day Mandalam season at Sabarimala that concluded on December 26. According to the KSRTC special officer, Chandrababu, the corporation operated 8,694 services to Pampa from different parts of the State during the season. The KSRTC had operated 7,901 services to Pampa during the previous pilgrim season. The corporation operated 18,814 chain services between Pampa and the base camp at Nilackal during the season, he said.
