PATHANAMHITTA, DEC 29. A 35-year-old man was crushed to death by a speeding tractor on the Swami Ayyappan Road, near Marakkoottom, on the Pampa-Sannidhanam path today. According to Health department sources at the Pampa Government Hospital, the deceased has been identified as Ganesan, son of Paramasivam of Periyakulam Chemmankudy in Theni district of Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred when Ganesan was leading a herd of pack-donkeys to the Sannidhanam, the police said. The body was sent to the Pathanamthitta General Hospital for postmortem examination.
