BANGALORE, DEC. 29. Bank of Baroda has donated Rs. 5 crores to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for relief operations in the areas ravaged by tsunami. In a press release here on Wednesday, P.S. Shenoy, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda, said the bank has donated the amount in response to the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh's appeal and towards discharging its corporate social responsibility.
Corporation Bank
gives Rs. 1 cr.
Our Mangalore Staff Correspondent reports: Corporation Bank has announced Rs. 1 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund. A press release from the bank said today that considering the large-scale devastation caused by tsunami tidal waves , Corporation Bank has decided to donate Rs. 1 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund. The staff of the bank too have decided to donate one day's salary to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
