DHARWAD, DEC. 29. The Deputy Commissioner has asked voluntary agencies collecting donations for providing relief to the victims of the tsunami to get their names registered before undertaking the work. According to a press release, this is required to ensure that there is no misuse of the money collected. He urged the public who wanted to make donations to verify whether the agencies seeking donations have registered their names in the office of the Deputy Commissioner. Those wanting to contribute in cash can make the payment in the form of a demand draft in favour of Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Tsunami disaster relief) and send the same to the office of the Deputy Commissioner for forwarding it to Bangalore. People desiring to make contributions in kind in the form of medicines, new blankets, clothes and foodgrains are required to hand over the same to the office of Deputy Commissioner, the release added.
