KRL second phase from today
KOCHI,
DEC. 29.
The second phase of the 18th KRL all-India cricket tournament will get underway at the KRL Oval, Ambalamugal, on Thursday. Eight teams are in the fray, of which four each have been divided into two pools for the initial league.
Good Knight Cricket Club, led by Test player Sadagopan Ramesh, along with city-mates Southern Railway and Eagle Cricket Club — all from Chennai — and Swantons Cricket Club, Ernakulam have been grouped together in Pool A.
DTDC, Bangalore, Central Excise and State Bank of India, both from Chennai and host Kochi Refineries Limited are the teams in Pool B.
The league round matches are to played from December 30 to January 2.
