By Our Special Correspondent

TIRUPATI. Dec 29. A. Raghavendra Char, Deputy General Manager, State Bank of India, Tirupati module, on Wednesday inaugurated the Core Banking Solutions (CBS) in the bank's TTD Administrative Building branch. This is the SBI's first branch in the Rayalaseema region and the 340th in the country to be brought under the online banking network.

In an informal meet on the occasion, Raghavendra Char said that the CBS would facilitate an online banking, anytime banking and anywhere banking. The customer of this branch can conduct his transactions or access his account from any branch coming under the bank's CBS network in the country. He thus becomes the customer of the bank rather than the individual branch, the DGM said and added that in a phased manner all the SBI branches in the Tirupati module would be brought under the CBS network as an augmented facility for its customers.
