Final interestingly poised

TIRUCHI: Final interestingly poised: The TNCA Trophy under-22 cricket tournament final between Tiruchi and Vellore here is poised for an interesting finish. Host Tiruchi in its second innings was in need of 93 runs to score an outright win on the third and final day on Thursday. The scores: Vellore I innings 88 in 36.5 overs and II innings 171 in 80.1 overs (Arun Karthick 40, Padmanaban 49 n.o, Krishnaraj six for 31) vs Tiruchi I innings 86 in 39.4 overs and II innings 81 for four in 23 overs (Ravikumar 46).
