KOLKATA, DEC. 29. Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has agreed to turn out for Bengal against Madhya Pradesh in the last and seventh league game of the Ranji Trophy Elite group A beginning at the Eden Gardens on Friday. Bengal, in fear of being relegated to the plate group, has also ensured the services of veteran left-arm spinner Utpal Chatterjee, who had announced his retirement from first class cricket early this season. Both Bengal and MP have four points each and either team will need a draw and two points to stay in the Elite group next season. ``Yes, I have agreed to play for Bengal but declined to accept the captaincy,'' he told newsmen here on Wednesday. Ganguly had played for Bengal in the first league game against Karnataka under Rohan Gavaskar. But it was Ganguly who did all the bowling changes and field placements. Bengal won the game to earn four points. In three games Bengal took the first innings lead and yet lost outright. ``I am coming out of retirement only because Bengal is in the relegation zone,'' said Chatterjee. The left-arm spinner has been playing first division cricket and is among wickets. Our Special Correspondent
