Thrilling win for FUCC
BANGALORE,
DEC. 29.
Friends Union CC (FUCC), thanks to three successive boundaries of the first three balls of the last over, scored a four wickets win over Herons CC in the Jawahar Invitation floodlit cricket tournament here today.
Having restricted Herons to 185 for nine in its 25 overs FUCC was aided by a brilliant 66 (52 balls, 4x4's, 4x6's) by B. Akhil in its run chase. But it was Sandeep's last over heroics, when his team needed 12 off the last over, that powered it to victory.
The scores: Herons CC 185 for nine in 25 overs (KST Sai 75, Sasikumar 38; Amit Kumar three for 17) lost to FUCC 186 for six in 24.3 overs (B. Akhil 66, M.S. Vinay 44).
