MANGALORE, DEC. 29. The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Organisation has observed during the course of an audit on individual accounts undertaken by them at their Mangalore office that some members have not contributed to their accounts for over a year, according to a press release from the Assistant PF Commissioner, H. Rama Naik. Such instances occur when the employees leave the services and join another establishment and do no apply for transfer of the old accumulations to the new account number or leave the employment and not claim the amount even if they are eligible to receive EPF benefits, the release said. Those employees who have left an establishment and are working in other organisations can submit applications for transfer of the amount from their old account number to their new account number by submitting a Form No 13 to the present employer, the release said. In all other cases wherein members have left services and are unemployed or retired, the individuals can claim their benefits through their last employer expeditiously. All such members are requested to submit their claims at the earliest to the EPF Organisation office. Those who do not receive refunds in 30 days from the date of receipt of claim at the EPF office can directly write to Regional PF Commissioner. Further details can be had from the sub-regional office of EPF Organisation at Mangalore.
