Around the City

No change in temperature

Partly cloudy sky with minimum temperature hovering around 14 degree Celsius has been forecast for Thursday. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 29 Degree Celsius and a minimum of 14.2 degree Celsius on Wednesday. Relative humidity was 48 per cent.

`Fly kites'

The Hyderabad Council of Human Welfare will organise a State-wide campaign on child rights through its programme, `Fly kites for child rights' at People's Plaza, Necklace Road, on January 8 and at Victory Grounds, Chaderghat, the following day.

MBA results

The final year results of MBA course offered by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University have been declared. Paper-wise results will be available at study centres and the results can be accessed on www.braou.ac.in.

Special training

Centre for English Language Training, Osmania University, will conduct a special training session on public speaking skills between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on January 2. , Those interested can register names by paying a fee of Rs.300. UGC project

P. Malyadri, Reader in commerce, Vivekananda Government Degree College, has been awarded a project by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on `Impact of information technology on customer service in commercial banks: a study of Andhra Pradesh.'

Business idea

M. Ramchander of Dharmasagar in Chevella mandal won the first prize in the `Best business idea' contest organised by the Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust recently. K. Vinodha of Shamshabad and M. Mahendra of Rajendranagar won the second and third prizes respectively.

Literary meet

`Sahitya subhakankshabhinandana sabha' will be organised at 6 p.m. at Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Nampally, on December 30 to mark the occasion of `Sahasra poorna chandradoya darsanotsavam' of Delhi-based Telugu poet, S.L. Sastry.
