Disruption

KOCHI, DEC. 29. Power supply in Vyttila Janata Road, Bhagat Singh Road, Manamel, Choice Garden and Star Retreat areas will be disrupted between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on Thursday owing to maintenance work, said officials of the Kerala State Electricity Board here today.

Road closed

Traffic in front of the St. Mary's Church, Mulavukadu, will be diverted from Thursday till January 10, 2005 due to pipe-laying work of the Kerala Water Authority, according to the Assistant Executive Engineer.

Postponed

The inauguration of the Fertiliser Mixing Unit of the Rubber Mark and FACT at Mudikkal, in Aluva - Perumabavoor route, slated to be held on Sunday evening has been postponed due to the official mourning declared following the natural calamity. The function will be held on January 3, according to the Rubbermark officials.

Cancelled

The Christmas- New Year celebrations planned by the Air Force Association Ernakulam District Chapter on January 9 has been cancelled. The Association secretary, M. M. Varghese, has requested the members to cooperate with relief operations and make donations to the relief fund. More details will be available from 0484 - 2424458 or 2805884.
