TUMKUR, DEC. 30. The Tumkur unit of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. will extend its bill collection facility to all taluk centres in the district, its General Manager, R.N. Sudhakar, said on Wednesday. He was interacting with telephone subscribers at an "Open House", organised by the company at Sira in the district. Mr. Sudhakar responded to a few subscribers who told him that they have to go to Tumkur to remit their bills. He said the company will open collection centres for a day in a month in each of the nine taluks. P. Govindaraj, Deputy General Manager (Finance and Accounts), said the cash collection counter at the company's APMC Yard Telephone Exchange, Tumkur, will continue to accept cheques and bank drafts towards payment of bills.
