Businesswoman clarifies on warrant

BANGALORE,
DEC. 30.
S. Thirulakshmi, proprietor of the Bangalore-based S.T. Designs, on Thursday clarified that the Madras High Court on December 23 stayed a bailable warrant issued against her by a judicial magistrate's court in Tirupur in Tamil Nadu. She said no arrest warrant was issued against her by the Tirupur court as reported in these columns on December 25.
"The Judicial Magistrate-2 had only issued a bailable warrant against me on December 17 for non-appearance at hearing," Ms. Thirulakshmi said.
