GULBARGA, DEC. 30. The Chief Justice of India, Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, on Thursday expressed deep anguish and sorrow at the miseries left behind by tsunami in the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He conveyed his sympathies to the families who have lost their dear ones in the tragedy. Before delivering his convocation address of Gulbarga University, Mr. Lahoti said that amid the tragedy of loss of thousands of lives, there is a ray of hope in young graduates coming out of universities and institutes of higher studies. They will devote their energy and use the knowledge acquired in these institutions to predict such disasters if not prevent them in future.
