STOCKHOLM, DEC. 30. Sweden, which today looked likely to be one of the Western countries hardest-hit by the giant tidal waves which struck Asia's coastlines, will hold a national day of mourning for the victims on Saturday. Between 1,000 and 4,500 Swedes are still unaccounted for in the region, including some 1,400 in Thailand, according to various reports. So far only six Swedes have been positively identified among the fatalities. Flags at Government offices and official buildings will be lowered to half-mast on Saturday, New Year's Day, ``and the Government encourages each and every person to do the same,'' said the Prime Minister, Goeran Persson, in a statement.
