TTD gears up to meet New Year rush

TIRUMALA,
DEC. 30.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is prepared to meet the New Year rush. Disclosing this to mediapersons on Thursday, the TTD Special Officer, A. V. Dharma Reddy, said focus was on meeting the requirements of ordinary pilgrims.
With a view to providing longer darshan time to ordinary pilgrims, the TTD cancelled arjitha sevas and decided to issue two types of darshan pass to VIPs who shall be allowed between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. While the first category of pass is issued at Rs.500 per head the other is sold at Rs.200. Special counters are being set up at the vaikuntam complex for issuing the pass.
