NEW DELHI, DEC. 30. A delegation led by the Outer Delhi MP, Sajjan Kumar, called on the Delhi Lieutenant-Governor, B.L. Joshi, today and demanded a probe either by the Central Bureau of Investigation or a high-power committee headed by a retired High Court judge into the allotment of prime land to the Bharatiya Janata Party affiliated organisations, charitable trusts and schools/ colleges at nominal prices. The delegation also demanded that the allotment of Gram Sabha land be also brought within the purview of the investigations. After his meeting, Mr. Kumar said the Lieutenant-Governor assured him that he would take appropriate action on the issue. Alleging that the land allotted for the purpose of setting up hospitals, dharamshalas, schools, colleges, social and cultural centres were being blatantly misused, Mr. Kumar said: "The organisations sold the land to benami organisations and earned crores of rupees."
