CUDDAPAH, DEC. 30. Functionaries of the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party took out a rally and staged a dharna in front of the Badvel MRO office on Thursday, alleging haphazard power supply. Farmers were getting only four-hour supply despite the Government's promise of nine-hour supply, alleged the B. Matham, ZPTC member, B. Ramasubba Reddy, Badvel ZPTC member, Y. Prasad, and BJP Badvel constituency convener, V. Venkateswarlu. Decrying frequent power interruptions, they demanded replacement of old electric wires. They wanted free power extended by regularising unauthorised connections of ryots. The TDP leaders -- Chenchurathnam, Mastanaiah and N. Subba Reddy -- and the BJP mandal unit president, K. Narasimhulu, and the secretary, Ramanaiah, also took part.
