CUDDALORE, DEC. 30. Minor cracks on the grounds of Sacred Heart Middle School at Pudupalayam and the taluk office on Beach Road here caused tension in the town today. According to the management, the hairline cracks were noticed around 11 a.m., when the waves started swelling. They widened to 1-1.5 cm by 1.30 p.m. Eight Sisters vacated their rooms and shifted to St. Anne's School, just across the road. The school was closed for Christmas holidays.
