HYDERABAD, DEC. 30. The Congress has appealed to all political parties, particularly the Telugu Desam, to stop politicising the tsunami relief work and extend wholehearted cooperation to the Government to provide succour to the affected people. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the Congress MLA, G. Muddukrishnama Naidu, advised the TDP chief, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to stop finding fault with the relief work. "It is high time the former Chief Minister, who ruled the State for nine years realised that this is not the time to point fingers at the Government," he said. Regarding the controversy generated by Mr. Naidu in flashing `V' sign to party workers during his visit to the affected areas, Mr. Muddukrishnama Naidu said the clarification was not convincing. " It is unfortunate that Mr. Naidu refused to apologise for his action and instead justified the same claiming that he had got used to flashing `V' sign whenever he interacted with people," he remarked. He advised Mr. Naidu to stop levelling allegations and meet the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh at Vijayawada tomorrow and submit a memorandum seeking more relief for the State, if he was really concerned about the welfare of people.
