KOTTAYAM, DEC. 30. The CMS College, which has been selected as one of the colleges with Potential for Excellence by the University Grants Commission (UGC), will be accorded the position formally on Saturday, the college Principal, Korula Issac, said. The function will he graced by the former President K.R. Narayanan and the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, among others. The college is among the six from Kerala and 47 at the national-level, which have been selected for this coveted position, he said. He said the college management would implement a programme of action to upgrade the institution as a centre for excellence as part of the programme. The inauguration of the action plan would also be held on the occasion, he said.
