NEW DELHI, DEC. 30. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, has received more condolence messages from the heads of states across the world, expressing sympathy over the loss of life and property in the tsunami that hit the coastal regions on Sunday. Messages have been received from the South Korean President, Roh Moohyun, the Slovenian President, Janez Drnovsek, the Turkish President, Ahmet Necdet Sezer, and the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf. The newly-elected Ukrainian President, Viktor Yushchenko, and the Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church in Damascus, Ignatius Zakka Iwas, have also written to Mr. Kalam. Sharing grief with other countries affected by tsunami, the Lok Sabha Speaker, Somnath Chatterjee, has expressed sympathy with the Presiding Officers of the Parliaments of Indonesia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
