TUTICORIN, DEC. 30. The Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Anitha Radhakrishnan, today distributed a solatium of Rs. one lakh each to the family members of those died here on Sunday, after tsunami struck the Tuticorin coast. The kin of Vijitha alias Vinnarasu (6), Antony (55) and John Bosco (46) received the amount from the minister at a function held here. Meanwhile, the district administration today distributed relief materials to 731 families, who lost their shelter and other belongings due to tsunami. Sources said the relief include, Rs. 2,000 in cash for constructing sheds, 60 kg of rice, three litres of kerosene, bed sheets and clothes, to each of the families.
