Internal roads his priority

GUNTUR, DEC. 30. The first-time corporator, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, winning on a Congress ticket, finds himself lucky to get works, with an investment of Rs.2.5 crores, completed in his ward despite being in the Opposition.

His major contribution to the ward is construction of two shopping complexes opposite the district Collector's office and in Kannavarithota. The fixing of high-mast lights at the district Congress office junction, Mastan Dargah and near Collector's office is Mr. Srinivasa Rao (Peddabai's) achievement.

Dream project

Getting the Travellers' Bungalow (GMC Guest House) renovated and giving it a facelift is his dream project, which is likely to be sanctioned by the Municipal Commissioner, D. Rama Rao, very soon, he said. He is not happy with the streetlighting in the division and has proposed providing white lights on all major roads.
