Year to end on cloudy note
The maximum and minimum temperature recorded at Safdarjung on Thursday was 20.7 degrees Celsius and 6.1 degrees Celsius respectively. At Palam, the maximum and minimum temperature was 20.6 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius respectively. The maximum humidity at Safdarjung and Palam was 82 per cent and 95 per cent respectively while the minimum relative humidity stood at 45 per cent and 46 per cent respectively.
Leopard skin recovered
According to a Northern Railway spokesperson, the woman was intercepted by the RPF personnel at the New Delhi railway station today when they saw her moving around in suspicious manner. When they checked her bag, they found a leopard skin wrapped in a polythene bag. The Wildlife Authorities were informed about the seizure. The police are now questioning the woman to ascertain the source from where she procured the skin and if she was involved in the smuggling of the skin. A case has been registered at New Delhi railway police station and further investigations are on.
