Dry weather likely in north T.N.

CHENNAI, DEC. 31. Isolated rain fall occurred over coastal Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over interior Tamil Nadu and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over Rayalaseema, rose at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, Kerala and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, above normal at one or two places over Telangana, coastal Karnataka, north Kerala, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably below normal at one or two places over south Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Hakimpet Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Sunday morning): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep and mainly dry weather prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Outlook For Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
