Loyola lifts title

DINDIGUL, DEC.31. Loyola Basketball Club, Chennai lifted the G. Sundararajan Mani Vizha Trophy with an all-win record in the semifinal round robin league in the 11th annual State-level basketball tournament conducted by Sax Memorial Club at St. Mary's Higher Secondary School ground here.

Loyola bagged a cash prize of Rs.6000 and Port Trust, Tuticorin, which lost only to Loyola in the league, finished runner-up and took 4000. Tirupur Basketball Club, Tirupur, with its only win over Armed Police, Chennai finished third and got Rs.3000. Armed Police, which finished lost losing all the three matches got Rs.2000.
