BELLARY, DEC. 31. G. Rukminamma, mother of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP G. Karunakar Reddy; the Mayor, G. Somashekar Reddy; and president of the district unit of the BJP, G. Janardhana Reddy, died here today. She was 68. Several prominent personalities, including the president of the Bellary Zilla Panchayat, G. Umesh; the MLC K.S.L. Swamy; and BJP corporators, paid their last respects at her residence in Avambhavi. The last rites will be held tomorrow at the old-age home being set up by the family near the FM radio station.
