`Bride and groom' meet on January 9

HYDERABAD, DEC. 31. The Samyukta Karnataka Sangh, Pune, will have a social get-together and bride and groom meet in the city on January 9. It will be held from 12 noon onwards at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy temple, Barkatpura.

The coordinator of the meet, Sunita Patil, said parents and guardians of brides and grooms, widows/widowers and divorcees may utilise the opportunity.

Social workers from the twin cities will participate in the meet, she said, adding that the conference was being organised to widen social contacts, exchange information, facilitate interaction between families and reciprocal discussions of subjects of mutual interest -- employment opportunities and housing facilities to the needy.
