BSNL's New Year offer

ERODE, JAN.1. As New Year offer, for all new telephone connections, India Telephone Card (ITC) worth Rs. 500 will be given from January 1 to 31, the General Manager, Erode Telecom, BSNL, C.M. Abraham, said in a press release today.

This offer was applicable to places where the connections were given on demand. Further, for all new connections, installation charges had been waived. For post paid cellular connections, no activation charges would be collected for this month. The recharge coupons worth Rs. 551, Rs. 1102 would have the full talk time for Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 respectively.

The pulse rate for all local Public Call Offices and attended Manual Public Call Offices were increased from 90 seconds to 120 seconds from January 1. The tariff was revised from Rs. 1.20 to Rs. two for each call from today. The Customer Service Centre, which was now functioning at Telephone Exchange, Modachure Road, Gobichettipalayam, had been shifted and would start functioning from January 3 at 2-C, Ramnagar, Gobichettipalayam.
