ALAPPUZHA, JAN. 1. Tsunamis are associated with death and destruction, but a couple in Alappuzha district has named their new born baby girl as Tsunami following her miraculous escape from the killer waves. Kutten and Priyanka of Valiyazheekal, where several persons have been killed by the giant waves, decided to name their child after the killer waves as their new born was left unscathed. Baby Tsunami's naming ceremony was conducted at the Kayamkulam government hospital on Friday. The baby's mother is undergoing treatment in the hospital for the injuries she suffered when the waves struck. Priyanka and her daughter were rescued by a relative when the waves hit their home. PTI
